Marja Hepo-aho is an artist, glass-blower, and designer. She's done a long career with glass. In her artistic work, she has focused on the themes of portrayal of women, sexuality, and the crossroads and interfaces between human experiences and collective reality.

Being human is being physical, embodied. Glass forms with the aid of the body, hands craft the world, and words uttered by the mouth are a source of power and change. At the same time, our corporeal being is also a taboo.

Marja's Mistress of the Water draws deeply from Finnish-Ukrainian green witch tradition. She studies bodily self-care methods. Tantric methods, yoni steaming and phytotherapy are her special interests.
